about
Andy Carretto
I have been photographing weddings since 2010. That was the year my wife and I got married, and the year I discovered how rewarding it is to create timeless, authentic, and elegant images for other couples to document the beauty of their wedding day.
I consider myself a fine art photographer, and I use both film and digital images to tell a wedding story. I am captivated by the beauty of simplicity, and I love timeless portraits. To me, there are few things that top the combination of a radiant couple, beautiful light, and a medium format film camera. It has been a huge honor to be able to photograph weddings and document love stories for couples, across the world.
Originally from Ottawa, IL, I am a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University, where I studied accounting and business management. I met my wife, Beth, in a photography class in Florence, Italy. I love motorcycles, travel, good food, good wine, and good company. After eight years in St. Louis and a few year years in the Bay Area of California, my wife and I moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, with our dog, Cannoli, and our cat, Artemis.
Thank you for taking the time to view my work, and I would love to be part of documenting your story.
from a Bride
Every photo Andy took for our wedding was stunning because of his skill and talent. Clearly he's an amazing photographer but he also has a sense of calm during the chaos of a wedding day/photo session. His vibe is perfect and he gives great direction. We recently got our photos back and every picture took me back to the feeling of that moment. Andy and his assistant captured every moment and then some. I can't say enough great things about Carretto Studio and I know I'll be working with Andy again.
