Erica & Stephen's Wedding at Graham Chapel - Wash U

Erica and Stephen have an epic love story, the sort that crosses thousands of miles and hinges on happenstance. Two weeks before Erica was moving to New York, she and Stephen met one night, at a bar where neither of them had planned to be. Erica moved to New York as planned, and soon after, Stephen made the move as well. After spending  a few years in New York, Erica and Stephen moved back to St. Louis, where they tied the knot on May 11, 2013. Their wedding was beautiful - perfect weather, joyful family and friends, and most importantly, two people who were absolutely pumped to get married. Erica made an absolutely beautiful bride. Her dress and shoes were absolutely divine, and she practically glowed all day. It helps that she and Stephen are all-around awesome people. So genuine, interesting, and likeable.  One of my favorite moments of this wedding - during Stephen's brother's toast at the reception, he recounted the story of the very first time Stephen had told him about Erica...he said that he knew then that he would someday tell that story at their wedding. How awesome is that?

Congratulations, Erica and Stephen! Loved being a part of your wedding.

Many thanks to all the wonderful vendors who participated in this shoot! Thanks to Jessie & Greg Austerman for lending us their modeling ability! Aurora Lord of Make-up Artistry by A&C is an absolute master, and her airbrushing made the already beautiful Jessie look simply flawless. Meggan of Pixies Hair Design did such an amazing job with Jessie's hair - she completely understood the vision and the look she created was better than what I had in mind. Maggie of Peacock Blooms has so much creativity and skill; the floral arrangements were incredible. Julie of Milk & Honey Paper Designs does such a phenomenal job creating custom stationary; the stationary was thick and lush, and it had such personality. The Cakery Bakery lent us a stunning cake - they work wonders with buttercream, and it tastes just as good as it looks. These ladies are some of the most talented vendors around - check out their work!

Kristen & Mickey's Christ Church Cathedral Wedding

When we first spoke with Kristen almost a year ago, I was thrilled to hear the details of her spring wedding. While Kristen hails from St. Louis, she and her (now) husband both met and currently live in the city that never sleeps, New York. After all the months of planning their wedding from afar, Kristen and Mickey were married at Christ Church Cathedral on a rainy April day. Their ceremony was perfect - so personalized, as the pastor was one of Kristen's long-time friends, and so beautiful. For their Windows on Washington reception, the couple incorporated elements of the city they call home. From black and white cookies (Seinfeld, anyone?) to a New York City coffee table book as their guestbook to awesome typography using New York neighborhoods, their details were the perfect fit for this awesome couple. All in all, it was a wonderful day - so joyful and full of love! I'll be looking forward to seeing these two and the rest of Kristen's family in a few short months. Kristen's twin sister, Erin, will be married in Saint Louis this September. (What a busy year for this family!) Can't wait to see you all again!

Such a great day! Mackenzie and Brandon are such a fun couple, and their wedding day was the perfect fit for them. Mackenzie did an amazing job with all the little details. She chose totally unique flowers, found matching robes for her bridesmaids, printed out fun signs, and found perfect reception decor. She even had an old sewing machine at the reception, where guests could leave notes to be incorporated into their wedding quilt. Oh, and there was Ted Drewes frozen custard at the reception. How quintessentially St. Louis (ok, and how entirely delicious)! Loved photographing these two, and can't wait to have an after session with Mackenzie!
